The Young and Lonely Foundation exchanges programmes with other organizations, groups, schools, societies
and individuals within and outside the country to help raise the standard of education and living.
YLF also provides training and teaching programmes for the staff to enable an on-going development of knowledge in the
teachers, counselors and other members of staff.
The Young and Lonely Foundation also provides exchange programmes for the children, whether it be through pen-pals or
excursions; the aim is to develop the cultural awareness of the children.
The Foundation also works closely with Foreign Volunteers who come to share their knowledge, love and happiness with the
children. Whether they teach in classes, help the ‘mothers’, raise the awareness of HIV/AIDS or simply provide love and
attention to the children, their time is treasured by the children and staff of YLF. Currently, plans are underway to
exchange staff with the foundation’s sister NGO in the United States for them to get acquainted with activities, methodology and
skills in both nations. This will help a lot in bringing innovation and diversification in the way programmes and projects
are handled to suit the requirements of this developing world.
We encourage all philanthropists and voluntary organizations to bring to the fore any suggestions, services or donations
they think can help us improve our activities.
