Under this programme, democracy and good governance is what the organization employs in order
to bridge the gap between district assemblies, decentralized departments, the various communities and as far as the citizens are concerned.
It is the responsibility of the Young and Lonely Foundation to educate people in villages and inhabitants of the communities by teaching
them to construct simple but effective social amenities such as toilets for themselves; and also assistance is sought
for them from other entities for health, sanitation, education etc. until the government at the local levelcomes to their aid.
The organization has taken these problems as her burden. We aim at fighting for the rights of these
children, women and all concerned in peace; due to this the Young and Lonely Foundation brings together Community Based Organizations (CBOs),
Civil Societies (CSs) and other Associations in the district to come help for the development of these all.
YLF is also working hard to encourage the government to make condoms and contraceptives more readily available
around the communities; also to make the idea of sex and contraceptives more approachable as in many of the
surrounding communities the issue is not talked about openly and therefore many people are unaware of contraceptives
and the dangers of unprotected sex.
The Agona District Civic union is the major organ of YLF responsible for this programme. Executive personnel manning
this organ include: Mr Adams Abubakar Al-Hassan the project coordinator, Mr Ahmed Abubakar the secretary and Mr Ernest
Mawufemor the vice president, all of Agona District Civic Union, Agona Swedru. For further information write to

Mr. Komla Senafia, the Project Coordinator for Educational Aid for Child Development and Food/ Agriculture Security is currently embarking on research
in Child Trafficking and Child Labour (CTCL) at the two southern borders and in various cocoa growing areas in the country. This initiative was instituted by him after
having realised considerable number of children are still deprived of the right to education despite the Ghana Government's Free Compulsory Universal Basic Education
strategy; and President John Evans Atta Mill's "One Goal" strategy.
Information collated during the research or investigation helps to crack down on unscrupulous persons and irresponsible parents in the various communities.
Join Komla now in the research in CTCL as a research person, travel to numerous localities to retrieve these unfortunate children from the doldrums of hard labour and various forms of disheartening abuse.
